I asked TURBO 2 weeks ago to plan a fiesta for the "Grappler". The Grappler has left the NYMEX for bigger and better things on Duke & Duke's fixed income desk. My instructions were very simple. I told him to find a bar between the NYMEX and Midtown, pick a time, and invite the appropriate people. My only request about the bar was that it have "Golden Tee" and a good jukebox. This was a rather simple request, or so I thought. It's not like I asked him to hire caterers. I would've done it myself, but I already had way too much shit going on.
I got to work this morning and asked what our plans were-no answer. So, I asked again thinking it was a bad connection on the phone. Turbo said: "I couldn't find a place. It will have to wait till next week." Couldn't find a place? There are probably 5000 bars below 42nd street and he couldn't find one. Needless to say I was a bit annoyed. The worst part of Fiestagate was I had to call/email/text all of our peeps to say we weren't having it today-this is the second time we've canceled this to do his inability to plan.
The best response I got about postponing it was from our friend Chucktown. He simply sent me a text saying-"you pussies really need to get your shit together". My response "I know."
Note to self: Never ask TURBO to plan anything ever again. I thought he could handle this he has planned numerous "wing dings".
He couldn't find a dive bar in Manhattan? Whoa.

I know seriously. I found out later in the day that he was just being obstinate about the whole thing. He was in a snit because I suggested we go north of Canal street-perhaps some place with some eye candy. I'm tired of looking at old, drunken, traders-wait that's me. See this is what happens when you lend your underling out to he picks up bad habits. I want TURBO returned to me in the same condition I sent him out in.
