I try not to think about football until the middle of August. If I think about it too early I get all bunged up over what could've been. This year was very hard for me considering my beloved Bears went all the way to the Super Bowl only to be dismissed by the Colts like they were nothing more than a Pop Warner Team.
While reading Da Bears blog it commented on how they have depth at the QB position. Depth my ass. I didn't know that having an undisciplined hillbilly, a washed up QB who sucks off the teat of his father's NFL greatness, and finally a kid who could actually be a good QB if given a chance meant depth. The 3 Bear QB's threw for 247 yards in Saturday's preseason game against the Houston Texans. They beat the Texans 20-19. Are you shitting me? The Bears are the defending NFC champs, they should have put a beat down on the Texans. I know it is just preseason, but come on.
I shudder to think of another year of the Bears being guided by Rex Grossman. This guy is terrible. Lovey Smith, what is wrong with you? You could have picked up Jeff Garcia. It is a miracle that he managed to take the Bears as far as he did last year. The Bears could have won the Super Bowl, but Rex had to be a cowboy. Clock mismanagement and the burning desire to throw off his back foot are just some of the examples of behavior that worked my last nerve. I have better vision down the field than this clown has. All I could think of after he threw that interception was dude do you play on the blue team? I don't know what color jersey you're wearing, but the rest of your team is wearing white ones. Throw the ball the to the dudes in WHITE. All I have to say is thank God the NFC North is Suckyville and that the Bears will win the division.
*For the record KYLE ORTON the 3rd string QB led the Bears to victory on Saturday night. Orton was the only BEAR QB to throw for a TD.
