Pistol Pete might be the best mascot in the Big 12. Forget BEVO at Texas or even Reveille from Texas A&M. I just love the giant orange stetson. For the rest of the week I will be posting shots of my favorite mascots in college football along with key games. Paste rated this album #2 in their best of 2006. I gave them a listen off of that review and let me tell you they rock. What I dig most about them is the fact they sound like a drunken Springsteen. This album is loaded with a ton of heavy guitar riffs and lyrics you can't understand. RUN DON'T WALK to your nearest record store and pick this bad oscar up.

I just reread this book. It is amazing. For some reason I'm fascinated by landscape architecture. Olmsted is probably best known for desinging Central Park and Prospect Park. he also desinged the town of Riverside a suburb of Chicago. One of my favorite mysteries set in New York. Carr does an amazing job of capturing old New York. I just recently re-read this book. I forgot how good it is. If you haven't already read it go pick it up you won't be disappointed. This book is like a train wreck-you can't take your eyes off of it. I found it disturbing and engaging all at the same time. She has no problem telling the reader that she has worked in the sex industry of the bay area, taken drugs, slept around, and traveled around the country via Grayhound. ok, i'll give you this solely based on the fact that pistol pete is, well, sort of a ridiculous mascot. as a sooner, i'm obligated to hate OSU with the burning passion of a thousand suns. but that said, ou's mascot is a wagon. yup. pretty sweet, huh. so, yeah, watch osu lose, probably (they always choke when it counts) or watch OU effing cream north texas on saturday. your choice. except you probably won't choose either. that's ok.

It pains me to know that you think I don't care about OU or OSU. I could get on the OU bandwagon if it weren't for Bob Stoops.
You under estimate how much college football I watch. I will watch OU open up a giant can of whoopass on N.Texas and I will watch OSU eventually choke.

Don't hit Sooner nation like that. There is enough room in the world for Sooner fans and Cowboy fans.
